Lets face it, every hunter is always out chasing the biggest buck they can during hunting season. You spend all summer scouting, and checking trail cameras. You have your stands set and you are ready to rock. When that first cold front of the year comes in and rut is in full swing, it is game on! What happens when you don't see him as often, or see hardly any bucks for that matter, or any buck you do see already has a doe? What happens when all you see is does? Doe numbers have been incredibly high, and that can cause massive problems to your herd health. We broke down some questions sent in on doe management, and where a good number for buck to doe ratio should be. Every area is different , but still make sure you are getting doe tags and helping out your herd health!
